Longer term the crew stays free regardless: anyone can join a trip, vote on dates, see the itinerary, and track shared costs without paying anything. Coordinated will be something the organizer chooses to add to a single trip — never a charge to individual members.

When it launches, it will unlock the coordination layer for that trip: optimal date ranking, private budget overlap with a suggested target, lodging suggestions, receipt parsing into reimbursements, anonymous budget-flex requests, member installment plans, and gift mode. Absolutely. The free app handles dates, itinerary, shared expenses, and your crew. Coordinated is there for when you'd rather have the app rank dates, find the budget overlap, and handle reimbursements for you.
To each other — not to us. The organizer collects from the crew the way they already do, with Venmo, Cash App or Zelle, and WeGoing! keeps track of who has paid what. We never hold or move your money, so refunds and settle-ups happen directly between you, on whichever app you used. And during the beta we take nothing at all.
Yes. The app uses US dollars as the baseline and converts other currencies, so everyone sees the trip in money they recognise. Settling up happens directly between people — we never move the money ourselves — so your group pays each other in whatever app it already uses: Venmo, Cash App or Zelle at home, and apps like Wise, Revolut or PayPal across borders. The exchange is between you and your bank, not something we sit in the middle of.
The short version: we hold as little as possible. We never take custody of your money, so there are no card or bank details sitting in a WeGoing! account. Budget ranges stay private to you — the crew sees the overlap, not your number. We don't sell your data or run ad-tech tracking, and our analytics are pseudonymous and bucketed.
