Terms.

The rules of the road for using WeGoing!. Short version: be decent, don't break things, we'll do our best to be decent back.

Who we are.

WeGoing! is operated by WeGoing!, Inc. ("WeGoing!," "we," "us"). Our product lives at wegoingapp.com (marketing) and book.wegoingapp.com (the app). By using either, you agree to these terms.

Beta status.

WeGoing! is in beta. That means: things will change, some features will break, and payments are running through Stripe's test mode (no real money moves) until we explicitly announce otherwise. If we're still in beta when you read this, treat the app as "experimental software you help us improve" rather than "mission-critical infrastructure for your wedding."

Your account.

You need an account to plan trips. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. Tell us if your account is compromised: hello@wegoingapp.com. You must be 16 or older to use WeGoing!.

Acceptable use.

Don't do illegal stuff. Don't harass other travelers. Don't use WeGoing! to organize anything that violates a third party's terms (like booking platforms or airlines). Don't try to break our security. Don't scrape or reverse- engineer the product. Don't use the inbound-email feature to forward someone else's mail without their permission.

If you do any of the above, we may suspend or delete your account without notice.

Trip Fund (deposits + payments).

WeGoing! is a planning and coordination tool. When you make a deposit through the Trip Fund, your money is held by Stripe until the organizer confirms the trip or until a refund is issued under the dropout policy you accepted.

We are not a travel agent. We don't book flights, hotels, or activities on your behalf — we help the group planwhat to book, and the organizer handles actual reservations. We're also not a financial institution; payment processing is handled by Stripe under their terms.

Refunds + dropout policy. When an organizer sets a dropout policy (Flexible / Standard / Strict), that policy controls what happens to your deposit if you can't make the trip. The policy is shown before you pay; by paying, you agree to the policy in effect at that moment. If the organizer later changes the policy, you'll be asked to re-accept before any new commitment is required.

Content you upload.

You keep ownership of what you put into WeGoing! — trip names, itinerary notes, lodging picks, your photos. You grant us a limited license to display that content to the other members of your trip and to operate the service. We won't use your private content for advertising or AI training.

Patents + intellectual property.

WeGoing!'s product mechanics are protected by six provisional patents covering our group-funding architecture, date-ranking, policy-mediated funding, inbound parsing, cross-trip commitment graph, and conditional burden reallocation. The brand, design system, codebase, and algorithms are ours. You get a non-exclusive, non- transferable license to use the service · nothing more.

Aggregate insights we publish.

By using WeGoing!, you agree that we may publish aggregated, deidentified insights about how the platform is used — total trip volume, destination trends, budget distributions, group-size patterns — for marketing, press, investor reporting, and industry research. Every aggregate we publish is subject to a k-anonymity floor (≥5 contributing users per bucket) so no individual user can be identified.

We will not publish your individual-level data, and we will not sell or license your individual-level data without your explicit opt-in consent. See the Privacy Policy for the detailed architecture.

Third-party services.

WeGoing! integrates with several third-party services to work: Stripe (payments), Postmark (email), Google Places + Maps (destination search, photos, maps), SerpAPI (flight price lookups), Viator (excursion search), Supabase (database + auth), and Vercel (hosting). Each has its own terms; using WeGoing! means you also accept theirs to the extent applicable.

Termination.

You can delete your account anytime via Settings → Delete my account. We can suspend or delete your account if you violate these terms or the law. If we shut down WeGoing! we'll give you reasonable notice and an export of your data.

Warranty disclaimer.

WeGoing! is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific trip will happen. We strongly recommend buying travel insurance for any real trip.

Liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for anything related to WeGoing! is capped at the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months (or USD $100 if you haven't paid us anything). We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. This doesn't limit liability for things the law says we can't limit.

Governing law + disputes.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Delaware under the rules of JAMS, except you may bring claims in small-claims court if eligible. You and we both waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions.

Changes.

We'll update these terms when we need to. Material changes get an in-app notice; the "last updated" date at the top is the source of truth. Continued use of the product after a change means you accept the new terms.
